Thing you have found most helpful as a non-traditional student:
I have found instructors to be very willing to give me the time and attention I needed for the class work I was responsible for. I was also surprised at how open and accepting the traditional students were in helping and encouraging me.

Any words of encouragement for others that might be looking at pursuing a degree?
In today's educational environment there are many ways to access an education. UMC has allowed me to attain a degree while still being able to work and spend time with my family. While it seemed like a huge task to begin, I have found it to be rewarding and certainly a mind expanding experience that will serve me well.
