As an online student about to graduate from UMC with a degree in Manufacturing Management, I have found my experience using online education to be very accommodating.  My education has been fast and furious, but the knowledge I have learned online compares to any lecture I have been a part of.  As a full time employee a benefit of online education is the ability to study where, and when I need to and have the time.  I can view lectures, presentations, and submit homework 24 hours a day from any computer with internet access.  When I have a question, a response from a professor is returned in a timely manner, usually within 24 hrs, but typically within hours.  A large deciding factor on choosing UMC was they offered the program I wanted and they accepted previous college credits.  The experience of online education has been great, and I recommend it to those who want to start or continue higher education, and don’t have the time to sit in a classroom. Online education isn’t for everyone, but for those who have time management skills, it should work for you.  The light is not as far away as it seems.
